"I was having a lot of issues with vocal fatigue and a lot of discomfort and pain around my neck and throat after some extensive touring over summer and had been to countless doctors and was getting pretty concerned.

It took one consultancy with Amy and the Voice Lab Team to start to uncover the core of the problems and start to be able to treat these. Amy and the team assisted me to get the help I needed from vocal physio and took me through a range of techniques for warm ups , warm downs etc. The Voice Lab NZ trained me to start thinking like an athlete and looking after my voice in a way any sportsperson look after their body which is essential to keep up with the amount of singing and touring in my schedule.

The Voice Lab NZ Voice Care Team saved my voice during a nationwide tour and if I hadn’t had them helping me I wouldn’t have been able to complete the vigorous back to back dates.

Every singer and artist should meet with The Voice Lab NZ Voice Care Team and customise their own Programme to be able to stay at the top of their own personal career as a singer and performer.

I am super grateful I found The Voice Lab NZ and for everything they have taught me around looking after my instrument. "

"For a long time I have cared deeply about looking after my voice and wanting to know how best to create sustainable habits and routines to match the level of support I’ve needed with not just touring and shows, but everything else that comes with being an artist. I spent years working with a vocal coach who I loved dearly but unfortunately she passed away a few years ago… so I was left not knowing who to ask and go to.

I found Amy and the team through social media and attended one of their Voice Lab one on one workshops and connected with their ethos & deep care for looking after artists and approaching their needs as vocal athletes. As an artist, there is a lot of support available in many areas.. however there has been little support in how to care for myself & my voice.

Having worked on a plan with Amy for the past few months with looking at my vocal load, what I’ve got in my calendar and having the support available through a call or message if needed, it’s given me so much confidence knowing I’m not in the deep end trying to figure out how to fix something if something goes wrong, or if I’m vocally fatigued or sick… what to do.

Bigger than that, the plan and the resources of the whole team mean that I’m preventing injury which means sustainability with being an artist on a practical level is actually possible. Every second person at a gig in the green room has wondered what I’ve been up to when I’ve been warming up with the vocal trainer or using a heat pack on my neck post show… I love knowing I’m taking care of myself and my voice and am so grateful to have the support of Amy & the team."

"After recent surgery which led to a collapsed lung and a long recovery, my range was quite reduced and I was feeling quite isolated when it came to finding support for vocal rehabilitation. I discovered Voice Lab NZ online and found an amazing support team! Amy guided me each step of the way, providing me with really practical tools I needed to get back to touring again and Kelly created a custom Vocal Yoga program that targeted exactly where I needed to rebuild my range. Even while away on tour around the world, they are always just a message or zoom call away to support me. I’m so grateful to have found my vocal support team!"

"Vocal health is such an important and hugely underestimated aspect of being a performer and I actually felt quite emotional seeing the Voice Lab team at Homegrown. Environments like festivals are often when stress and adrenaline are at their peak and I know that I would be SO grateful to have a vocal team to support me through those moments. I hope to see the team at many more NZ festivals in the near future."

"It was awesome to meet the girls and see the genuine love and passion, to not only help vocal artists better their craft but look after their voices. As a new up and coming singer it was cool to get a better understanding of how to look after our instrument (Voice), and know that there are people out there to help. Big ups to The Voice Lab nz team, look forward to working with you guys in the future. 🙏🏼"

"As a singer, losing the ability to do my job and what I love made me feel incredibly vulnerable and scared. From the very start, Amy & the team were professional, knowledgable and emphatic to my situation. Their passion for singers and singing really shines through in every session. The tools that they gave me are an invaluable asset to my ongoing vocal health and well being."
